Hand to Hand Photoshoot x2

In case you didn't know... I photograph bands occasionally: http://photo.recteclive.com

Tuesday.

So it looks like a habit is forming. The wonderful Matt Addington and I went out photographing today in Mount Dora. The lovely Shannon was our model.

I must admit... one of my favorite things about being a photographer is the fact that I can take a day off during the week just to go photograph with friends. Is this really work? It's hard to think of my work as actual work sometimes. This must be play... not work. I feel incredibly blessed that this is my life and work. :)

NYC! Jan. 29 - Feb. 2

I will be traveling to NYC Jan. 29th - Feb. 2nd. I am looking forward to visiting friends from my year at Pratt Institute and seeing new friends. If you are a photographer, client, friend or an interesting person, I'd love to see you! We can do anything from dessert at Cafe Lalo to shopping at H&M. Please email me at heather@heatherahrens.com if you would like to meet up. See you soon!

Today.

I went out  and photographed with the amazing photographer... Matt Addington today. This is what I photographed. Thanks Matt and Josh for modeling.

Stefanie!

I was working on Heather and Michaels photos from last weekend and found these two cute ones of Stefanie in action. Stefanie and I did a follow up shoot with them yesterday afternoon, which is why we were dressed in jeans :)

Also, Stefanie now has her own blurb on our website. Check out her bio page under HA! Photography!

Michele and Clay's Vow Renewal

Michele and Clay were married this past May in Clearwater. Michele's father didn't get the chance to walk her down the aisle, so they decided to do it again! It was a very emotional and happy day. Michele and her father walked down the aisle this time, which was wonderful to witness. I was so happy to see Michele and Clay again. It was so much fun catching up with them.

Ashlye and Jamie's Wedding!

Ashlye and Jamie were married at one of my favorite places ever... the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne! They had a beautiful ceremony in the courtyard at the I.W. Phillips house. I loved how their reception was both indoors and outside, it made for plenty of room for guests to mingle.

Ashlye and Jamie thought it would be wise to see each other before the ceremony. Ashlye didn't want her guests to be waiting for a long time after the ceremony. Stefanie, April and I were able to capture some great looks during this time before the ceremony when they had their first look.

Ashlye and Jamie are so in love! Check out some of their photos below:

Brandi and Matt!

Brandi and Matt had a beautiful lakefront wedding this past Novemeber... yes, November. I'm a little behind on the blogging front.

There have been a ton of changes around HA! Photography and will continue to be more in the new year (coughnewblogcough). I have been gearing up for some excting things that are about to happen!

You might remember Brandi and Matt from their engagement session in Winter Park earlier this fall. Brandi decided to get married at her grandparent's house which is right across where she grew up. The ceremony was held on a gorgeous day overlooking a lake in Casselberry. She chose the perfect spot to tie the knot. Boy can this group party! This was by far the most fun I've had at a reception... ever!

Here are some of my favorite images from Brandi and Matt's wedding:

Emily!

Emily and I met over two years ago over a cup of coffee. Emily was helping plan one of her best friends' weddings, Jennifer. We have seen each other occiasionally at various client meetings and weddings over the past two years. Emily emailed me a couple of weeks ago wondering if there was any way that I could do a portrait session of her last minute for Christmas. After many scheduling conflicts we finally found a day to get the portrait session is. Emily is so beautiful inside and out... it really shows:

5D!! I am so addicted to this thing!

So yes... I've had my camera attached to me for the past week. It's kinda ridiculous.

My friend Amber is moving to L.A. next week and had her going away party. Of course I brought my camera. Here are some of the results:
