We are buying a house!

We signed a contract on a townhouse a few weeks ago. This will be our first house. We are very very excited. I've been waiting a bit closer to the date of our closing to put pictures up and announce it to the world. We will close on Thursday and cannot be more excited. The story of our house hunt is kinda cool and it involves some of our wonderful clients, Katie and Bryan. Thanks Katie and Bryan! It's talking to you that this whole thing came about!

We will be moving the next two weeks so things might be a little hectic at HA! Photography. Phone will be the best way to reach me the next few weeks while we are getting our new place situated. My number is: 407.493.8211

Email Access Down

We are currently in Pensacola photographing a wonderful wedding but we have limited access to the internet and we cannot send any outgoing emails. All emails will be returned when we get back into town on Monday.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Florida School

Here's a peak at what we are doing:

and lots of this:

Drinking at 11 am... that's what I'm talking about. haha.

Gettin my learn on.

I am here in Daytona Beach until Thursday taking a class at the FPP Florida School. I attend the FPP Florida School each year to further my education in photography. I love attending workshops because I get to test out new ideas and bring the skills I learn back home. I am taking Curt Littlecott's class this year. Curt was recently name one of the top 10 wedding photographer's in the world by Popular Photo Magazine. I am super excited to be learning from the best!

There will be more updates soon!

Jamie and Justin's Day After Session

My friend Tim photographed my best friends wedding in February and did a fantastic job! I am so glad that she hired Tim, his work is stunning. Since I was in the wedding, I couldn't really photograph it, and besides it was nice to enjoy the wedding instead of working.

Jamie and Justin decided to put on their wedding clothes again and get some more photos done. This time I got to take them! Here are some of my favorites from the session last week:

Thank you Stefanie for helping out!

August/September Wedding Special

I was looking through my calendar today and noticed that August and September looked a little slow for HA! Photography (as opposed to November where I have 5 wonderful weddings that month). So we are having a sale!

HA! Photography is offering 15% off all packages booked for August and September 2008. To do the math, if you booked our Vanilla Ice Cream package at $3900 you would save $585 which would bring the package down to $3315 plus sales tax. So if you are getting married in August or September, or know someone who is, give us a call at 407.493.8211.

Enjoy the sneak peak from Jamie and Justin's Day after session. :) More photos to come later this week.

Cute invitations at Target? Who would've thought?

My best friend Jamie told me about these cute invitations at Target this morning. I guess these invitations are pretty new, because when Jamie was looking for invitations six months ago these were not around. I really like the Pink Peony Set.

Here are some super cute invitations that I found from Target of all places:

Jean M. Sienna Invitations

Jean M. Wedding Stationary Collection

Pink Peony Invitations

Paisley Invitation Kit

Green Vellum Leaf Stationary Set

Katie and Bryan's Engagement Session

I met up with Katie and Bryan a few weeks ago to photograph their engagement session in St. Augustine. They are getting married this November in Winter Park and I am very excited to be their photographer!

Funny story: On our trip over to St. Augustine Katie and I were talking about our past and growing up in Orlando. We got on the subject of who we both knew and how we knew them. Katie grew up in Orlando, same as me. It turns out we were in the same 2nd grade class and didn't even know it! Sometimes it's funny how small Orlando can be.

Katie just graduated from UCF with a degree in elementary education, so of course we had to take a few pictures in front of the oldest school in America.

I can't wait to photograph your wedding!

Starbucks!

I received the most awesome gifts today! My friend Amy stopped by earlier today to hang out and brought me a bag of Starbucks Coffee. She brought me French Roast, which I haven't had in forever and I am eager to try again.

Then when I got the mail today I had a package waiting for me. It said Starbucks on the outside so I knew that it must be good. I opened it to find another 1 lb of coffee. This time they gave me Espresso Roast which will be sure to wake me up in the mornings. Yay for having a Starbucks credit card!

I have this unnatural love for my Starbucks near my house. Notice how I say my Starbucks, as if it belongs to me. I actually worked at Starbucks for about a year in the transition between getting married and finding out what I wanted to do with my life. Within the first two months of working at Starbucks I decided that I wanted to continue going to school for photography after taking a hiatus from it in 2005. During my short break from photography I had an internship at the Orlando Museum of Art where I contemplated switching my major to Art History. Then I got my first digital camera and the rest is history. I quit working at Starbucks over a year ago when my new business started to take off. I still go into the Starbucks that I used to work at at least once or twice a week.

Amy and Justin's Winter Haven Reception

Stefanie and I had the chance to photograph Amy and Justin again at their reception in Winter Haven. It was so great seeing Amy and Justin again! I cannot say enough good things about them. They are wonderful people with very kind hearts. We will miss seeing you two!

Amy and Justin were married in Key West this past March. You can see some of their photos under the destination section on my new site! Here are some photos from their reception that they had in their hometown of Winter Haven for everyone who couldn't make it down to Key West.

enjoy!

Listening to: 05.03.08

I spend a lot of time listening to music. My laptop seems to always be on a custom station on Pandora while I am either cleaning our apartment, working on photos, and blogging. I must say I am addicted to music. This week I made a custom station on Pandora which features music by the Faint and artists similar to them. Pandora is this awesome website that let's you put in the artists that you like listening to and it makes a radio station catering to your choices. It is a great way to find other music that is similar to the music you already like.

Sorry I have been missing this past week. There are some big things going on in our lives which I am excited about, but have to wait another week or so to tell everyone.

Music I am listening to this week:

MIA

The Faint
